BCT-2E case splitting: We have encountered several instances where the case of the BCT-2E (black version) splits in cold weather. This problem was due to the black colorant, and has been rectified on all models produced after November 2009. Rest assured that if you experience this problem we will replace your BCT-2E absolutely free!

BCT-3 Battery Replacement: If your BCT-3 battery expires, and you are shipping from within the Continental US, Battery Replacement service is now available for $20. This price includes a new pendant, new battery, labor, and return postage within the Continental US. Since the battery is sealed within the BCT-3, it is not user-replaceable - you may opt for this service in lieu of purchasing a new BCT-3 upon battery expiration. We are only offering this to our Continental US customers since shipping fees would not make this a viable option for our Foreign customers. To begin this process, you may mail your BCT-3 via USPS to this address:

The BB-75 testing circuit is very sensitive - only touch bare leadwire ends to contacts. A false positive may be indicated if you touch your fingers to the contacts, or to the bare leadwires, while testing.

BB-75 continuity/low-batt indicator TEST LED may be installed backwards - a solid light, regardless of color, indicates good continuity. A flashing light, regardless of color, indicates a low batt. The solid light should be green, but may be red, and vice-versa for the low-batt light. This has been fixed on all units manufactured after September 2010. This is not a safety issue.

The READY LED uses a yellow lens, but since the superbright white light has a slight blueish tint to it, the resulting light color may appear greenish-yellow. If the TEST LED dimly lights solid during ARM it is just a quirk of the low-battery circuit - this means nothing unless the TEST LED AND READY LED continue to flash brightly during ARM, indicating a low battery.

BB-75 Technical Modification Notice - IMPORTANT - (large file, may take a minute or two)
